Motorbeat

concept & theme.

I questioned the idea of making music with anything on any platform, and came up with this project. I found that every velocity range that Motorbeat creates is equivalent to a musical note.

the technical principle.

I researched with Arduino to find the equivalent of each musical note in each velocity range, and created a diagram for it. After that I wrote a music score in code and used a regular stepper motor as my instrument.
